Not as slow...

With fast drain soil, water and feed, they grow "fast". Of course, not like a washi.

In my old house i have one planted ten years ago smaller than yours. In a place with frost, snow and no water, only a few rains and it is growing!!!!

Mine last Winter enjoying the warm January, lol

If they're kept warm enough, even hot, B. armatas will grow faster than you think, though still slow to put on vertical height.

TOUGH! You kill those, might be time to see a doctor. Or the undertaker . . . .

I am going to plant these six in sort of a mott and hopefully will have enough of a pollen pool to make some good seed
