Coconuts in the Imperial Valley

Recommended Posts

I'm spending the month in Palm Springs, California and thanks to Danilo on palmtalk, I was able to see some of California's coconuts today! The first photos are from Salton City, CA and the last photos are from La Quinta, CA!

wow, impressive. But it looks like they could use more water since it gets so ridiculously hot in the Coachella Valley. i'm hoping they do well this winter and that we have a warmer than avg winter with normal precip.

:greenthumb::greenthumb: Always nice to see updates on these..  Glad you got the chance to.

Agree the Salton Sea specs. could use more water..  As hot as it was here, I can imagine what these went through the out west in the Valley this summer. Btw, how are yours doing Dan.

I was tempted to bring them some water, but hopefully the irrigation faucets at their bases work! Sorry for the photo format, I was posting from my phone and it wouldn't let me attach the images normally.
