Hi guys.  I have had a T-Fortunei here in colorado for a few months.  It was generally healthy, but I left the plant ut in it's pot during some colder weather (17F)

A few weeks later, many of the leaves began browning.  Now there are only 3 living leaves still on the tree. I pulled a new spear out of the tree today with just a gentle tug.  The inside was damp, and rotting.

Is this poor guy doomed?

some folks have salvaged them by pouring various stuff down the hole...I have never done this so I cannot vouch for it.

I've had a trachy come back a year after lossing its spear...  I wouldn't give up on the palm.  Certainly wouldn't hurt to put some copper based fungicide into the spear opening and start fertilizing/watering it.  Best of luck.  JV

That's good news.... the same thing happened to my T Fortunei.... But not from cold... the ground just became mushy - don't know why, but the spear pulled out of the center about 4 months ago - the other leaves are still green - weird... I don't know what to think...
