Sabal Uresana - VERY Blue highlands version Zone 7B Palm

Recommended Posts

I finally have some 1G that are large enough to sell.  These are the very blue highlands version that are substantially more cold hardy than the gun metal blue uresana that are down towards the coast.  I have two coastal uresana planted outside  that are 3-6' tall which burned 50% for me this year (13F) while several 1G plants outside froze solid and never had a spot on them.  I wouldn't hesitate planting these anywhere in the SE that a palmetto grows or even experiment in places such as Little Rock, Memphis, Greensboro, Charlotte, Atlanta, Birmingham.  This would also do well in Midland/Odessa, St. George Utah, and other zone 7-8 western areas.

These are the best looking species of the entire genus and the most versatile IMO.  I will not offer many of these small sizes as most will be saved for 15G nursery stock or field planted so grab a few while I have them available.
