After keeping these two Kerriodoxa in pots for some years, I have been able to observe the root system of the species (sorry I didn't make a picture) before planting them last april.

They are strong and I hope they'll thrive. Sadly we have only two plants (when some famous hawaiian garden have a huge Kerriodoxa valley)

 

august 2017:

Of course the plant we have in the Morning garden is much bigger, but I feel these seedlings have a nice growth, and they spent 1 or 2 weeks under 2 meters water with the floods in may:

As you can see, I planted two Kerriodoxa with a good distance between them (hopefully it'll be ok).

 

november 2017: many days of heavy rain seem to be ok for these palms:

Wow, now that is a challenging environment.

this day sometimes append : i on the 7 november I had an brain- stroke and I am in swiss hospital .now it very bud  very  sad english ...

Ah, the Kerriodoxa! One of my very favorite palms -- and these are looking very fine! They seem to tolerate the floods alternating with the dry period -- fortunately! You will especially enjoy these when they get taller and show off the white underside of their leaves on the shiny black stems. Very special palms.

I can tell you miss Sri Lanka.
