Wow, great photos! Some people think crotons are tacky or gaudy but I love'em. They definitely say "tropical" or "Florida".

We have a small collection here at Leu Gardens. Most are fairly common and commercially available. No where up here really sells the unusual cutivars.

I had asked if anyone was into Cordyline fruticosa, Ti plants, in a previous post. What about Copperleaf, Acalypha wilkesiana? These are the 2 other "big" tropical foliage shrubs that have lots of cultivars. I will post photos of ours in another post. Here are our crotons;

Eric,

Nice photos, I saw some names on the crotons that fall into the 4 or 5 different name bracket. No problem with me there all nice.

I have a few dozen photos of crotons hybridized from Thailand, I`ll post them with there supposed names soon

The names of these Ti`s, Are from a language that hasn`t been spoken in Thailand for over 200 years. These names have been  translated for me by a student at a local college.

Dave,

The narrow leaf Eburneum is all over Cairns.  I thought it was a white Amabile at first.

Got any more Dreer #7's sitting around?  That's a good looking plant.
