Palms and Scotts Turf Builder weed and feed

This morning, I awoke to find my dad and brother spreading Scotts Turf Builder Weed and Feed all around the lawn. Of course, they indiscriminately spread it around the base of my palms. Is this going to kill them? I'm not sure what I can do at this point other than hope for the best...I'm not happy about this. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

Stuff like this happens to me at least twice a year. I spray the palm down with water and have a panic attack. So far they lived but I am not sure what weed killer it was.

Won't harm the palms, but you'll be lucky if that crap doesn't kill your lawn... I used the Scotts Bonus S two years ago & it killed my lawn. Did a search on it & there is a huge class action lawsuit against them for it. I'll never use it again.

I am not familiar with this exact brand, but previous iterations of 'weed&feed' have included the herbicide 2,4,D.

One of its breakdown components is dioxin, also known as 'Agent Orange" during the Viet Nam war.

A non-toxic alternative for weed control in turfgrass is corn gluten.  :)

I've used Scott's Weed and Feed for years with no issue, but I try not to get it too close to my juvenile palms. I rather doubt it could injure a mature plant, but I sure wouldn't want it on a seedling.   I hadn't heard about the lawsuit.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! I have a large bag of Milorganite in the shed, I wanted him to use that...man, I wish he would have!
