Picked this up at sale.  It's a Maypan (no talls were available).  Easily the biggest coconut I've ever seen.  The basketball next to it is a full size, official 29.5" basketball.

The 2018 USF Spring Plant Sale is this weekend (14th/15th).

I'd be curious to know how their palms did this winter too, the data I recorded shows they had 26f in January.

Might as well stop over.  I'm headed there Sunday (have work on Sat.).  @Chatta should be there as well.

im gonna be there probably in the morning on saturday as soon as it opens. but coming on sunday too when kinzyjr will be there :p

Looking for:  crytostachys hybrids, Pseudophoenix sargentii Leucothrinax morrisii, livingstona canarensis

They open at 10am on Sunday, so that's my target time unless that time is an issue for either of you.

At this point, I'm not 100% sure if Calusa Palms will be there.  If so, he'll likely have coconuts.  The vendors CFPACS has coming thus far typically don't carry them.  They'll have crownshaft palms, but we had people ask for coconuts in years past and Steve andDave didn'thave them at the booth.

One buyer last year asked for one and none of our vendors had one, so I invited them to the house after the sale ended and gave them a seedling for free.  They took a quick tour of the yard and I gave them directions to go see some of the coconuts in town.

Plantae-palooza 2025

The coconut I gave them is in a paper bag near the bottom of the thread above.
