You can keep you copernicias, licualas, pinangas and the rest. Give me a properly trimmed and well grown washie any day. Feast your eyes.

There are some well grown majesties around that give washies a run of their money. Especially the one on the right.

HAH! I thought that light post was a washingtonia trunk! I kept thinking what an odd place it was for someone to let a washingtonia grow.

Pando, I think the official name is Washingtonia robusta var. californiabankii. These are known to throw leafless petioles from time to time. Quite the rarity.

Sure is the most coconutty robusta I've ever seen.
