Cactus question

Featured Replies

One of my tender cactus plants has rotten off at the bottom, but the rest of the plant is ok. My question is can I replant the one that is damaged into another pot? Will it grow new roots?

The low last night was 32F before last night the blue cactus was inside the house. The damaged one is the one leaning over.  Also I plan on bringing this one inside until spring.

Thanks for any reply.

Brush or dip the busted end in a fungicide (not necessary but nice), let it callus over for a coupla weeks then pot it up in pre-moistened (not wet) soil and yer good to go.

This is only the second year I’ve been growing cacti so I wasn’t sure. Will try the dry and plant technique. Thanks Gonzer.
