silvery-blue Acoelorrhaphe wrightii

Featured Replies

I saw this specimen of Acoelorrhaphe wrightii a couple weeks ago in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It is growing under the overhang of a building. The fronds are much more silver colored than "normal" specimens.

Great find!

The seed stock that I have used produced very silver jouveniles.  So much so I have confused them for Brahea Armata on more than one occasion before looking at the ID tag.

I have some seedlings that are very silvery blue, they were green at first and the 3rd or 4th leaf went really blue, yes like brahea armata now

About half of mine were silver on the very first leaf and were actually from seed offered from RPS a few years ago. I never knew how special these were until I had a few folks stop by and buy as many as they could.

I want one, bad!
