It's supposed to be L. saribus, do you have a picture of the leaves or crown? The sign is slightly off, it used to be L. hoogendorpii. I've only seen one in person, it looked more like an Australian livistona than what is grown as L. saribus here in the US 

Livistona benthamii from Northern Australia retains the very bases of the petioles like the palm of this post. This feature makes a very striking effect when planted as an avenue, which has been done very nicely in the Darwin Botanic Gardens. However, I am  not convinced that your palm is L. benthamii.

These are Livistona benthami. The ones on the left have retained the petioles, the one on the right hasn't..
