I saw this Washingtonia robusta at Hilton Head Island, S.C. Where it was and how it was trimmed made it look great, the area it was in seemed so right for it. I wish I had more pictures, but here it is.

Myself, I prefer the Washingtonias when they are well trimmed.  I spotted this one recently here in Corpus a few weeks ago which is the best looking specimen I remember seeing.  Snapped this shot just last week.  It has the ball-shaped crown like the Florida Sabals I like very much...
