Sweet! pop some out and pot them up. They probably want out of those liners attached to the trunk.

Oh my gosh! I have seen a few germinate on the trunk before, but this much?! Dang! I agree with Chris, pop some out!

I could have a palm seedling lawn here.  Butias germinate like dandelions.

If you do, make sure not to cut it for 40 years. Then you'll have a palm forest!

They do it here too but only odorata. Let me know when you have an archeri (or the likes) doing that;-).
