It seems to me that the growth of these plants we planted last december is not bad and we may look forward to seeing some red trunk or crownshaft . what do you think?
When shall we get a "macrocalyx beauty" as we can see in some hawaiian gardens?

Philippe, mine now have over a meter of trunk and show no signs of color other than green.:violin:

El Oasis - beach garden, distinct wet/dry season ,year round 20-38c

Las Heliconias - jungle garden ,800m elevation,150+ inches rainfall, year round 15-28c

Looks like your going to have one of the more colorful A. macrocalyx Philippe. Mine have varied from a red blush to a distinct dark red ring at the base of the trunk when young. As they have matured my four palms all vary in their color from intense to very subtle.

Gladly I planted around 10 of this species, so I'll see how it comes ; from intense to very subtle.
