Will a tall coconut outgrow a Kentiopsis and Archontophoenix at some point? I have these three near one another and they all seem to be growing at the same rate. The coconut has about a ring or two of trunk while the King has several feet. The coconut is throwing extremely long fronds, 15’+ which slowly fall as new fronds are pushed up, these falling fronds end up sitting on the Kentiopsis and Archontophoenix.

I’m hoping the coconut will eventually be taller and the other two palm crowns will be below the coconut crown.

Anyone have some experience with the above and how did it turn out?

I would say yes your coconut should outgrow any kentiopsis and any archontophoenix unless your coconut is sickly. I have two kentiopsis oliviformis, multiple varieties of archontophoenix, and many coconuts. The coconuts outpace the others.

    Tall type coconuts will outgrow both of those palms. They take a number of years to get established and trunking, but once they're trunking they'll grow several feet of trunk per year until they've got about 30 feet of trunk. They slow down considerably at that point though.
