Have a queen palm...I believe it's a baby queen.   It's doing really well but recently is developing these "off shoots".  Are these seed pods/flowers?    I am not crazy about how they look so I am wondering if I can cut these off?   Perhaps also prevent future mess of seeds?   Please any advice as to if I can cut these off without harm to the plant.

Looks like Chamaedorea plumosa & those are flower pods, so your palm must be happy. If you don't like them you can remove them, but I would wait until the pods have opened & pulled away further from the trunk, so as not to damage the trunk. Removing the flowers wont do any damage to the palm, but I would personally leave them & remove once the flowers have died & it has dried up...

That is not a queen palm for sure.

Yea I know it's not the regular variety queen that you see everywhere....this one was marketed as a "baby queen" I believe southseanate got it right...Chamaedorea plumosa.
