Hey guys hehe its me again 

 

is it normal that 2 of my seedling are white at the bottom?

They are about 2 weeks old

My first guess i water them too much? 

A little bit every night

Looks like just the lowest part of the frond nearest the meristem.  You won't see that anymore once the Palm produces more fronds.  The leaf bases will cover that up.  Since that is its first one, there isn't anything to cover it.

It looks like the white was originally under the dirt. That is what happens to Sabal palmetto seedlings that I have.

Palm Tree Dude is right on target.  The white part will turn green.

Hi everyone, 

i noticed tonight the soil of some of my palm in pot are getting green

is it because of the fertilizer in the soil? 

Should i be worried?

 

my plants look fine and are growing

That looks to me like either Alge or moss.  Both of which would be indicators that maybe there is too much moisture.  Does the soil stay wet?

Maybe just a little bit.  Maybe cut back the watering by 1/8th if what you water now.   Under watering is usually better than over.  Overwatering is much harder to undo that under. If I feel soil staying wet on the surface for more than a week I cut back because I'm probably overwatering.

Yeah, let it dry out some, don't want to drown W. filifera! This happens a lot to my palms in pots, like my Sabal palmetto, but they don't mind it.

I stopped watering for fee days and i think they're doing great some are still growing white so i guess its because they're not getting enough sun. I dont k ow what kind of light should i used and if anyone have pictures of a setup

If it white at the very very bottom and it is visible, I would cover it with a little dirt. If it is white more towards the top, give it more sun!
