Hi Burt:

Please note the following:
* The event will start at 10:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM.
* Since parking is very limited at Jeff’s home, you need to park at the Vista City Hall parking lot, 200 Civic Center
Drive, Vista, CA, where we have arranged for a shuttle service to transport members to Jeff’s house in the morning
and the return trip to City Hall in the afternoon.

Wow, what an incredible place this is.

Thanks Dave, Phil, and everyone who made this possible, the guides (Len, Bill, etc.) for showing us around, and of course Mr. Brusseau for opening his property for a tour.

I took some pictures, but I respect Jeff's request to not post them to a public forum.

Thanks Jeff for the fantastic garden tour and opening up your garden for all of us to see and admire.

It was great to see everyone from Palm talk there as well.

Pando, I know you have some amazing pictures on your memory card.

Great day, awesome garden, you shoulda been there!! Thanks to ALL involved... (especially the ones behind the scenes)

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

It was a great day!

Many thanks go to the host Jeff, the tour guides and everyone else who helped set up this garden tour.

Thanks to Jeff (Mr. Rare)! Without him, there would have been no event. It was a big affair for him, and his exhaustive preparations showed in every corner of the place.

I appreciate the thanks to me, but the real thanks goes to Len, Bill, and above all else, Larry Black, PSSC President who doesn't go on Palmtalk, but who set the whole thing up over months.

AND!

most of all . . . .

Thanks to all who came and joined us in the loveliest September day I've seen in a long while!

And, those who brought plants for the auction and bid on them. Some nice plants for good prices were sold that day.

I await the pictures. Swooning sofa at the ready.

Sadly, Jeff requested no pics be posted. But maybe he will allow a few to be shown,...? but it was a shindig to attend!

This was my first meeting with the PSSC and all can say as WOW!  The number of species, the layout of the garden, the hardscape, all simply amazing!

Everywhere you looked the attention to detail really shined in this fantastic garden.  If there were a picture posted of me on the tour it would look something like this.....

Thank you to all the members that made this possible and to Mr. Brusseau for opening his garden for the tour.

No. This is an unusual event, though we do charge for the annual banquet.

We're always trying something new.

You should have been there!
