I'm heading to Sydney from Melbourne in a few weeks and was wondering if there's any Palm or tropical plant nurseries worth visiting while I'm there...?

The Sydney guys can probably help you here, but from memory, there is Palmland and just north of Sydney is Impact Plants. If you search the web you will find their websites/addresses etc. Haven't been to either of these places in many years but they used to sell a good variety of palms.

Thanks Daryl.

I'll google them now!

There is not much in Sydney. As Daryl said palmland on mona vale road at Terry Hills. They don't have as much variety as they used too but it would be worth checking out. Impact plants is further north at Empire Bay nearer to Gosford. It's a nice nursery with the owners garden planted out with his collection of palms. They have a cafe there, great spot for lunch food is good.

There is also a guy selling some interesting palms from a house at Casula . He advertises on gumtree

Thanks heaps Steve, I'm thinking of spending a little more time in Sydney now so I may be able to check out impact plants as you and Daryl have suggested.

Cheers, Joseph.
