Hi all,

I have seen this fig tree in the courtyard of the National Palace in Mexico City many times and I have no idea what it is. Can anyone take a guess?

It's a beautiful Ficus tree!   It almost looks like a thinner-leafed Ficus mysorensis (most likely isn't, though).   There's so many species and forms of Ficus they can be difficult to id, unfortunately.

I thought it could be F. luschnathiana but I'm not overly confident about that identification.

The foliage looks like F. callosa foliage. Then again lots of Ficus spp. have leaves that looks like F. callosa foliage! There are so many Central Amercian figs I suspect most of us who do not live in the area would find this very hard to identify.
