fruits are starting to ripe , few fully ripe dark orange color

tree trunk,leaves and fruits are larger than spinosa. i took this photos at noon , too much light

As it is with many other palm species in Peradeniya, maybe you see here one of the oldest Licuala peltata var. peltata one can admire in south-east Asian gardens. 

It may have been planted when the palmetum has been created in 1914.
I would love to meet and talk with some garden director and see the archives.
