Phoenix roebelenii: 75+ one-leaf seedlings of Pygmy Date Palm

Recommended Posts

Phoenix roebelenii comes from Laos, Vietnam and South China but is surprisingly cold hardy - 9b in areas subject to wet freezes, even 8b in So Cal. My triple laughs at my 10a winters.

I don't normally let my pygmy date triple reproduce but I was out of town a lot during 2014. So, my two female and lone male did what came naturally. The seeds ripened, fell, then germinated. I had tiny 1-leaf seedlings popping up everywhere. So, I pulled them up, divided them between 3g pots and let them grow through winter, spring and summer. Now they have to move on. For sale are the contents of one 3g pot. I guess-timate the # of seedlings in each exceeds 75 plants. I don't see well enough to count each one and my husband refuses to even try. Study the photos below.

The particulars:

Price: $15.00 for the seedlings in one (1) 3g pot

Shipping: $10.00 outside FL ($7.00 inside FL). No shipping to HI or outside the US

Total: $25.00

Pot and potting mix not included. I will pack seedling roots in damp orchid moss, clear wrap and foil. I pack/mail on Mon or Tues only to destinations outside FL. PM me if you are interested.
