I don't think you can get that anywhere in SoCal. I would guess that you'll need to know someone in New Guinea and get an export license?

Anywhere outside NG Fd is propagated through air/ground layering. It will not set seed because the fig wasp it needs to pollinate is only found in NG.

As far as I know, finding fertile seed will not happen and you may wait a long time....better to get a plant and air layer...it is a fast grower....
