Gonna spend the last week of this month on Oahu , looking for a good Palm nursery.

Any ideas?

Foster Gardens, Lyon Arboretum, and Ho'omaluhia are worth making time for.

Of course for awesomeness, there is always the Big Island.

I've been to Lyon, Fostersand the bot garden inside koko head.

Im looking to buy a couple palms.

Not gonna have time for the big island this trip.

Sorry ,not sure if you can ship plants back. Lyon arboretum, to me is a must, must see, I'm still finding new

palms after many years of going up there. There is Yamashitas and Sharrons in Waimanalo, but mostly

common and larger palms. Wahiawa Botanical Garden, is small and has nice mature Pritchardia and newly

planted areas.

If you are interested in hiking, there are lots of trails to native Pritchardia, and I would be willing to take you up to see

Bakeri in our valley. You can see the pictures on Palmpedia, under Bakeri of our valley location.

don't forget Koko Crater… lots of cool stuff you won't see in any other gardens on the islands (particularly if you like succulents).
