I planted this Howea Belmoreana a few years back, it was the middle of Summer and it ended up getting fried.

Nice recovery! :) Definitely my favorite Howea and I have a small one in the ground (thanks to lilikoilee! :) ) and looking forward to it getting up in size. :)

At this stage, I would still say it is acclimating to full sun, this Summer will be interesting, hopefully we won't have any 44c days, like last year and it can cruise through unscathed.

As for Howea Foresteriana, where I live down near the coast, it grows perfectly, although the new leaf does tend to burn when the temps get around 38c.

It's usually a little milder down where I am, maybe 4-5c cooler than Perth, I'm 60km South of Perth and 1.2km from the coast.
