Has anyone grown Trithrinax campestris as a potted plant? I don't mean short term, to be planted out, but for longer, as a display plant?

I had a young one in the past that I kept in its (roomy) pot for a number of years until I had a suitable garden in which to plant it. It did okay.

Do you think that a campestris could be kept potted indefinately?

    I have some in 15 gallon pots that are doing great. I think they could easily move to a 24" box next without missing a beat. It's a great plant but it's not conducive to ground planting in my yard because I have kids that play there. As you probably are already aware, the leaves of this plant are vicious and not to be taken lightly. Having said that, I think it is one of the most beautiful and interesting fan palms in the world.
