I could have used that thing this weekend to remove the Pepper Tree of Doom.

The only trouble is getting that thing into tight places. It would have knocked down my house driving into my backyard . . . . :indifferent:

I've seen devices that dig and create rootballs for big trees in one shot. They were a growing business back in the 1980s, but I think the cost is what killed them.

So much for my future as a lumberjack... Apparently, that job is pretty much automated now. I did buy an Extratigator (hand operated) for removing saplings by the roots. Works like a charm!! Very quiet, too, if you don't factor in your own breathing.

APS was doing the same to saguaros under power lines. Someone caught them at it, and the video went viral around 2010.

They changed their policy to moving them. I hope they made certain none of the saguaros harbored owls before shredding.
