I just sliced of a bit of my Pandanus and now I want to try and root it. I have read on the chat board that it is easy to do, but I failed on my one attempt and a friend failed on another try. So I'm looking for tips. Do I let it the end harden off before I put it in a medium? Once there there how wet should it be, and how long should it take to root out?

Is it possible to get a new plant started from the descending roots? I tried an experiment once to see if a root placed in water would descend faster than the other roots trying to reach the ground. It was much faster,

Thanks for any information you can offer.

I'd be interested to hear - especially about the roots!

I hear that cuttings do root easily, but have never tried it. I think thicker branches would be harder. How big is this one?

It's 2&1/4 inches in diameter. The previous ones attempted were larger.
