Just received this little guy in the post today from Equatorial exotics, and couldn't help myself but post this for everyone to see, absolute stunner, the discription of this palm go's as follows

This Pinanga was collected some 15 years ago by Dusan balint. On that trip he went to Sun\matra and Celebes. It is believed that this species is from Sumatra but that is a presumption. It is an attractive specimen withringed trunks2cm thick and standing about one and a half metres. It holds its mottle into adulthood..

I bought a Pinanga sp. dusan from Palms for Brisbane back in Feb. 2017. It looked a bit beaten up, probably the effects of winter and it was pretty much devoid of any mottling. Truth be known, I did not actually know what it was supposed look like but was happy to roll the dice!!

A couple of days ago I spotted a mottled new leaf in my shade house and was pleasantly surprised to discover it was the dusan.

Does anyone have pics of this palm in habitat (or cultivation)?

Comic097 how is your palm doing?
