My Copernicias - for Peter Pacific

Hey Peter, I read your request. I wish my Copernicias were huge like some people's. But most of them are tiny. Anyway, here they are:

Copernicia baileyana has finally gone palmate and seems a happy little fellow

Continuing -

Copernicia ekmanii - very hard to find but I got a seedling. I'm hoping it will throw some new leaves now winter is almost over. I'd like to plant it this summer.

Copernicia cowellii - my nomination for slowest palm in the world. I got it as a 3-strapleaf seedling in the Palm Beach Sale of Oct. 2008(!?). I planted it. It continued as a 3-leaf seedling until late in 2013, when it became a 4-leaf seedling. And those strap leaves are now 6-7" long instead of 4-5" long. Given a couple more decades it may go palmate - unless I accidentally step on it first.

Your cowellii looks great, Meg. It will pay off later, that you planted it so early. This is one of my favorite genus of palms. My berteroana flowering for the first time.
