Hi

Will have a trip to Vietnam soon.  What palm trees are growing there, any Garden to have a look at them?

Right next to the tomb of Ho Chi Minh, they planted two rows of very nice palms.  I think they were Xmas palms.  The fronds were super green and the trunks were about 25 - 30 ft tall.  Some locals were selling bottle palms for only $20 for ones with 2ft wide trunks.

The wild form of Phoenix roebellini comes from there growing along the main river there, whose name escapes me at the moment.
