This aircraft model is pretty amazing. And if the 8 minute video is more than you want to watch, the takeoff is at 2 min. 30 seconds into the video and the landing at 6 min, 45 seconds.

Bo, that was pretty amazing! Is this what we have to look forward for in the near future? :bemused: Any idea on the range that he can fly this? Maybe a few hundred yards out.

Jeff,

I don't know but I'm guessing that as long as the guy controlling the aircraft can actually see it, it's OK. That probably means about a mile out from his location, but no more.

Back in the day my Dad flew the yellow gull winged F4-U Corsair seen on the taxi-way.

That was a very impressive and powerful plane for its time. I visited the USS Midway museum (aircraft carrier of WWII fame) in San Diego recently, and enjoyed the better part of the day looking at the ship and all the aircraft that are on display. Despite the obvious disadvantage of being seen as (slightly) obsolete in this day and age (that was a deliberate understatement... :laugh2: ), the Corsair is simply a massive plane with a massive engine. It must have been quite the experience to pilot one of those amazing machines! :)

Some people just have too much money, I used to fly radio controlled Helicopters and planes but it starts to get expensive when you prang them !!!......... I couldn't trust myself with something like that (not that I could afford it anyway)
