Andrew,

It was freezing cold when we passed Bandarawela or Ella, which are at around 1'000 m elevation or more.

But it so nice to enjoy all smells and fragrance and stop everywhere.

I traveled with Kasun, so he is my singhalese ability , but I try... :)

Philippe,

Always exciting to view palms in habitat, and this is one of my favorites - elegant and fast growing! :) Thanks for the photos.

This is one of my favorites too. As beautiful as a Carpentaria can be, this palm is just that much better looking! It is my fastest palm also.

This is such a fast grower. Bentinckia Nicobarica is still my fastest (I know you Hawaii guys report that is not the case but it must be a Costa Rica thing) but this is a close second (and I'm only working on two years of data so perhaps the A. Calapparia will speed up as it is still a young tree).
