That palm is really something. I also would like to know if the growth point was ever damaged. Also how tall/old was the palm when it started to split? Has the split caused the palm's growth to slow down? Really want to hear everything about it!!!! Incidentally, what palm is it?

just found this one, looks really cool.

This last one would give octo-mom a run for her money. I love these pics. We had a Phoenix growing on the main drag in La Habra. I was never sure if it was a branching specimen or if they were volunteers growing out of the crown.
