A triple double at IN and Out Burger.

For about $4 what chain can beat it?

I'd feel guilty for eating the whole thing, but at 750 calories it has about a third less than my usual foot long at subway!

It looks ok, but remember, mine is an actual photo of the food I bought, not a stock photo of a blown up burger.

Red robin is over priced and not as good.

IMO

Triple double refers to triple patty double cheese .

At one time they made as many as 100 patty burger off the secret menu, but I think now the biggest you can get is 5x5 which is less than 10 bucks but almost 2000 calories.

Kinda like Five Guys better... BUT only the single.. if you get the double, the bun is so small/weak, its a giant mess before you are 1/4 through.

I DO prefer the animal fries at In-N-Out better though.. B)

I really like that In-N-Out is not too huge (unless you order it that way) and is reasonably priced. I can't go to five guys without feeling like I'm going to explode and that I've dropped a fortune for a burger and fries. Don't get me wrong, I love five guys, but for most everyday experiences I would probably go to In-N-Out, of course there aren't any here so I don't have the option.

Ditto the In N Out comment Xerarch! I've had many a hamburger in many locations across the country and IMO In N Out is the best bang for the buck out there.

He seems to be enjoying himself.

Men are just big kids so our burgers are much more elaborate ! lol

Back when I was a kid a a burger was only 10 cents, and back then you had real meat, unlike some of the fast food places nowadays that seem more gristle and fat, precooked and dry.

I wouldn't even buy a burger from McDonalds or Burger King anymore. Most of the calories come from mayo sauce.

I couldn't name the last time I ate a hamburger, so I am unable to make a recommendation. However this photo from the WSJ caught my attention.

Bone-In Burger -- I can't help you with etiquette for consuming it, though.

In the Midwest these are hard to beat IMO.

Culver's is out of this world. Burgers are thin so I recommend going with a double.

When we were in L.A prior to the Biennial, we went to Red Robin and and just after the Biennial we tried In N out burger...I thought both were pretty good, but Red Robin had more flavour.

A new chain has just opened up a store next to my work. It originates from New Zealand and is called Burger Fuel. They have some pretty nice burgers too...Ringburner is quite tasty...although a burger, fries and coke will cost you $20

For all around value, it's hard to top In-n-Out.

Or the infamous Bacon Burger of Doom at Cypress and Imperial Highway . .

One burger, filling, but not to exploding.

The more elaborate ones are so elaborate you need a day to eat them. Then a couple of days to digest . . . .

True, this biggest isn't always the best.

At in and out you can get a good double burger for $3.59 and fresh made fries for a $1.60 more
