that's epic

the market likes to revert back to the mean - it does not like to be at extremes.

Keeping an eye on MSFT. Many of my apple/google loving techish friends have been raving about microsoft's Surface tablet, as opposed to more expensive/inferior alternatives. I have yet to use it. Word is that they are selling very well. May mean for a better than expected ER.

Back to looking at Sprint as well. Will be interesting to see things shake out for S. See if the unlimited data, new phones, new owner, aggressive advertising, clearwire acquisition show up in this ER.

I'd keep my eye on COH for a buying opportunity in the next day or so. Good companay getting slammed today. One of the only things I have been adding to is BX, it's been a monster for me.

When I saw they where becoming the largest holder of single family homes in the US, to rent out then to sell. I believe that to be a valid game plan, did the same myself 1.5 years ago but jumping aboard their ship seemed like a good idea as well.

I have read some interesting comments about the profit margins on some of these tablets. Nobody appears to be making any money on them besides Apple. What good is selling a bunch if there is no profit? Sure, gaining market share, but without it translating to the bottom line, it will be hard for it to translate to the the stock price.

Just in general - BX has some brilliant managers. It is hard to go wrong with wise solid management in any company.

That is for sure. I think if you buy a great business at a good price eventually it will make sense, the problem is our emotions get the best of us and we sell just because a stock price is not doing what we want even thought the business is doing great.

That is for sure. I think if you buy a great business at a good price eventually it will make sense, the problem is our emotions get the best of us and we sell just because a stock price is not doing what we want even thought the business is doing great.

the market will go up as long as Europe/China/ US keep printing.

I had described it as over sized. For a while there it was about 65% of my holdings. Now it is about 30% since it has had such a nice run.
