Our fall/dry season usually comes the 3rd week in Oct. Tons of rain here. I look forward to dryness but not winter

Not a drop of rain here, and still fairly hot, though temps have come down a bit. The hot nights have given way to more mild temps, though our nights are still warm by any except Florida standards.

Thanks for the heads up. I have been so busy at work this week, I have not been paying attention to the weather.

Showing lows at 61 here with high of 79. Not quite shivering weather, but maybe just cool enough to make that first pot of gumbo while I still have Okra in the garden.

Long range shows even 67F here in Tampa Bay for Wed night! First sub 70F of the autumn season. Rains finally shut off this past week. We can thank TS Karen for bringing in this cooler weather. :yay:

Fingers crossed for some mid to upper 60's by Friday. It has been a long, hot summer with a lot of rain and humidity, so a break is in order. I have been looking at long range and they are mixed for this winter, with perhaps a battle ground setting up mid south. That can keep us mild but allow a few basty cold spells through. For now, I will enjoy the more pleasant Oct weather!

44F forecast for tonight. Chilly for October. Hopefully these temps will beat the mosquitoes down a bit.

A couple of wonderful monrings in a row (60F yesterday AM and 55F this AM).

Its currently 82F with only a 55F dewpoint and it feels great! The "feels like" temp is actually only 81F....add in a moderate breeze and its perfect.

A nice cold front has come thru - an inch of needed rains - and after a few muggy days, it is expected top be only 77F Sunday with DP in the 50's, same MOnday before more warmer, muggy weather returns. Long term is for a warm November. That would be ok if it rains some! :yay:

We got the same front and the same rain as it headed your way. Got about 2 inches here all in all. First sub-50 night tonight as lows head to 45. Winds seem to be slacking, so it might be a fire pit kind of night.

Cold front yesterday dumped some rain...got clear and last night........lower 40's....front moved through with lots of wind.

They are saying big dip in jet stream next week bringing artic air down, but hopefully not all the way to Gulf Coast. We will have a low developing offshore that may push it away from us.........I hope.

The wind seem to laying down as well. Frost likely in the morning, but current dew-point is 28 degrees so there is some hope.

For sure that 5 F makes me cring must have been a while ago because we have 40 foot fruiting syagrus in my hood. The palms grown here are limited by these kind of record temps not by average temps at all. So technically if you go by that data I live in 7b?

This warmth today feels awesome after that cool down! My greenhouse might make it into the 90s today. Cocos will like it. :)
