In Amsterdam the botanical garden of the ''Vrije Universiteit'' is going to be closed next winter it seems! I hope it can be prevented as they have a very good collection of plants!

I can't believe that!

Is this botanical garden which is close to the center and have a lovely green-house with many palms ?

I saw it last january thanks to Texeltropics who told me about it and it was a lovely visit by 10 below 0°C and under the snow storm! It seemed to be well maintained. what happened?

Philippe, I guess the Botanical Garden you visited was the one in Amsterdam (not closing), the garden of this topic is just south of Amsterdam, near the hospital of the Vrije Universiteit! Nevertheless a shame.

Regards,

Wim.
