I hope my Dypsis prestoniana looks like that one day! Sadly a bottle of beer might be taller than mine...

That new spike seems to go on forever! Pretty impressive! :)

I don't think we have to worry about that hand giving anyone a fight for an Oscar. Can't really act, kinda stiff ya know?

Ohh Billy boy, I got a good laugh out of that, really smiling, but Andrea on the other hand, just shakes her head. But then again, she knows you quite well doesn't she? :) Looking good.....

Nice teaser of the root beer and a big spike; interesting narration. When is the sequel when we get to see the entire palm?

Thanks folks.. I enjoy it a lot. No fertilizer added, just mulched a few times here and there. I think my coastal climate and my bit of clay make it fairly happy. And Greg, I'm a method actor... :P If I get around to weeding again I might show the whole palm..

Looks great Bill, really coming along, I think it's finally adjusted to the full day of sun, I wonder if it would do that in FL? Ed

That's one heck of a giant, and it looks like it's just getting started. I planted one this year after some of the NZ guys recommended it as a cool grower. Like Richard's, mine is probably just a few inches taller than that bottle of beer.
