Now if we could get some rare monsoonal moisture to blow this way and dump some free water.

It's mid winter here. Morning minimum was 25.4C after a maximum of 34.4C. Now they're the sort of winter temperatures I can deal with, and the plants are happy about it as well. :D

But still running as a zone 12a winter because of a cold spike at the start of the month. If it were taken at average minimums then it'd be 13a (so far).

It's 7:22pm and 78 degrees and 84% humidity right now. I like it. South Florida has nothing on us. (Please don't ask me in January to repeat this.)

STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP! You're killing me. :badday:

Okay, we're back down to 18C to 20C minimums now. 3 days to mid winter. Can't wait for winter to end. Swap you some of that rain ( :badday: ) for a few degrees. Rain beats irrigation water any time.

RH is running near 75%! That is just so unusual for us here inland. Hey, I'll take it.

Id say the Ideal year round weather would be 75f - 65f with dew point of 63f.

Coastal San Diego in Sept? Or Hawaii in the winter.

The 80f dew points in FL maybe fine for some things... not this human.

Last night, and today. Most mornings and late nights for me are at around 95% RH.

The plants are sure loving this weather - as long as they get all the water they need.

Happy growing,

Good point...this is typical summer/fall weather for us- the mistake I have made in the past is not giving the garden enough water. Everything grew ok, but when I flood irrigate in this kind of weather..."you can see the palms grow..."

That high water requirement is exactly why I don't like it this hot (near 100f) . My plants grow plenty fast at low 80's.

I've been at 90 for a week or more now which is pretty hot - including around 55% RH in the afternoon.

Our two week stretch of 85-90F+ with high humidity abruptly ended yesterday afternoon with the marine layer moving in with a vengeance. Back to 75F day 55F night.
