Actually babies, not childrens if you see the size,

It's a strange thing but a very poetic or symbolic thing;

These poor babies are swollen by the tree which slowly close the wound and keep them inside.

In a certain way, these babies still live within the tree.

Wait-are you saying that when a baby dies, they actually dig out part of the tree and put the baby in there? I am speechless

Very interesting, Philippe. Your post prompted me to read more about this practice and the spirituality of the people. All cultures have their rituals surrounding death, and this one is unique. Thanks for the fascinating and educational post.
