Palms around the Bali House

Featured Replies

I spent last weekend at the Bali House taking new photos for the rental web sites. While I was there I checked out some of the palms that I planted over the last 6 years.

I stuck a tiny two leaf Royal seedling in the ground next to this tree (on the left) and figured if it lived I would move it later... that was about 5 years ago and it's still there.

The Bali House Gardens have put on plenty go growth Jeff, especially the "Tahina" and the now seeding Peltata. Pete :)

Great looking garden, Jeff. Thanks for the pics. - gmp

I have to agree with Pete, the Tahina is especially cool. Hope one of my seeds

look that good down the road some day. Thanks for sharing, very nice pics.

aloha

WOW, great pics. Loving those vestiaras

Jeff,

Everything at the Bali House looks pretty perfect - very lush and healthy! And yes, the Tahina is outstanding! :)

Good to see everything growing so well Jeff. The potted palms look really good, you don't see may A. vestiaria in pots.

The Bentinckia's look great with that nice green color on the crown shaft. We've talked before about how different they look

with yours having some shade and mine in full sun. Still the case, mine are chunky with more upright leaves and a shorter

crown shaft. The internodes lengths are much smaller on mine as well, but this could be a function of your 'warm' tropical

climate and more sun protection.

BTW, that Bactris is still chugging along, two survived and getting nice looking. I'm hoping it's still B. glandulosa.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Tim, glad to hear the Bactris are doing well. Are they still entire leafed? The few I could get to germinate ended up being the split leaf form.
