I've had pretty bad luck with Calyptrocalyx in the past, I think mostly because of humidity. I had a large C. holrungii a while back that slowly dried up (old leaves first) regardless of how much I watered it. Recently I got a nice 1gal C. leptostachys from Jeff Marcus and I really don't want to lose this one. Here's a few shots of it:

I saw one of the aussie guys (Mikey I think) in another post mentioning something about a "Calyptrocalyx bath" and how it helped his palms. I'm guessing this just means an overhead drenching of the palm, but I wanted to get some input on this, as well as just general tips on Calyptrocalyx culture.

Ha! Challenge accepted! What about C. hollrungii? I got mine from Redland and it was doing great until I brought it home, so I assume you should be able to grow that one fine?

The above palm is being grown in my sunroom/greenhouse, I've been keeping it very humid and warm, with lots of air circulation. It also gets the leaves wet down daily.
