Great source for Jubaea in north bay area, great price, santa rosa

So after knowing about this source of Jubaeas for over a year i finally called up and got myself 2 of these greatly priced Jubaeas. The women selling them purchased the house in the early 90's and knew that the palm was something special so she started potting and selling the palms to anyone interested. Her house originally had 2 large100 year old jubes but she sold one to a local nursery and the other still stands and is producing so many seeds that she gave me a full bucket to eat!!!!!

She has about 100+ potted Jubaeas in all stages of growth from 1-6 years. And i was very surprised that she said she barely sells any, about 8 plants this past year. the prices seemed very good to me and there are lots of plants to choose from. They run from 20-40 bucks depending on the size.

I just thought id share for anyone in the north bay interested in a good deal. Definitely worth the trip up to the wine country. B)

The sellers name is Selena and she can be reached at 707-571-8535

and her house is located in Fulton, Santa Rosa

some of the many potted choices

Photo of the "motherpalm"?

Unfortunately the mother isn't looking so good. The crown is totally falling over, but is still growing/producing seed. I'm guessing its something similar to leaning Howea?

whoa!

She should plant a new one in the ground to replace old mama.

That's a lot of nice plants.

I've added the lady's name to my database. People ask me where to get Jubes now and again.

She has planted a few in the ground to replace the big moma. The oldest replacement is 15 years old and just starting to trunk. Couldnt get a pic, my camera phone was acting up.

Thanks Dave! Its a shame to see so many good plants not have a home :(
