I was annoyed enough to kick some dude's pet Tasmanian Devil, so, to channel the anger, I swerved around a corner, and found a street named

PALM!

That weeping [expletive] willow makes me want to puke!

Ahem.

Sorry.

Yo, hey, this family has the right idea.

Rip out that weeping willow, which loves to slurp septic, and plant Howeas, even if one of them leans a bit . . . .

Wandering through your mind would truly be an extraordinary (and probably frightening) adventure.

I'm sorry, but that has me on the :floor:

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

I have to agree with Bill :floor:

But great pics of the CIDP's Dave :)

Innisfail - NQ AUS - 3600mm of rain a year average or around 144inches if you prefer - Temp Range 9c to 43c

hahaha.... I like the weeping willow though... :mrlooney:

Dave, did you look at that building and think of a pangolin, instantly? I have to say, that building doesn't bring my mind to the image of a pangolin, but if your mind did, that's pretty cool(not frightening). Is that a pangolin climbing on a Bactris(or looks to be some kind of South American spiny palm)? Pangolins are African so that photo is interesting...

Sycamores on Oak, Palms on Pine,Slanted houses scaring opossums so bad they climb spiny Palm bases in search of heaven, the gased stationed beauty that is Beverly Hills; But Dave-O, not one shot of the Kartrashians? I even called Madge in accounting at the Polo Lounge and she said that my past due tab is still outstanding.

In final summary, could you provide discourse on the Zen mind flash that is Dave-O. (You would not believe the size of your Florida Pseudophoenix sargentii; it would blow what is left of your mind)

What you look for is what is looking

Dave, those CIDs lining that street are awesome. I can only imagine what just one of them would cost (be worth)!

Mad about palms

That's one of the most photographed Palmy Avenues in the world. It says Southern California like no other. Leave your [expletive] galoshes, long undies, and parkas back home . . . unless you ARE home.

Those poor palms are under attack these days by fusarium fungus, which is causing some of them to lose their heads. Literally.

Might have to donate some parajubes for the Cause of Palminess.
