Had some horrible weather here the last couple of days. Even though we were getting up to the 23-25C with a bit of rain on Tuesday we got a change in the weather with some horrendous storm winds, the day yoyoed between 11 and 15C with intermittent hail. Nights are now back to mid single digits as the high has moved in and the sky clears up. The good news is Sat 25C and Sun 27C with the mins moving into double digit territory.

Winters gone now. Had a 29C on the weekend and mins in the 13's to 15's for a few nights. Last night was single digit, but they bounce back up again from tomorrow on. Yellow Xmas and Red Xmas Heliconias are in flower now. Gotta love early flowering Heliconias.

Don't like the outlook for a late start to the wet (monsoon) season. Average maximum for the past 4 weeks has been about 37, the last 5 days being 38+. But the humidity has been cranking up a bit, which is one small mercy for the plants.

A near equatorial monsoon is active to our north, but a bit out of our reach. Some sprinkles of rain have been reaching the coast, but being inland I can only look to the horizon and pray.
