I'll be in the Tampa/St. Pete area and was wondering if anyone here knows of any good palm nurseries/growers that have rare palms for sale? I am hoping to make the drive down to Miami but doubt I'll be able to on this trip.

Thanks Sonoranfans.

I can't believe that with all the palm collectors in Central Florida that only one recommendation is made. I guess I need to try to make it there for the CFPACS meeting at the end of March to find more palm dealers in the area.

Mikes place is unbelievable, he has a huge nursery with great prices. And his garden is stunning, hundreds of huge palms of many species. There are others but for something even approaching mikes for variety of species and numbers of palms you'd probably have to go to orlando area.

Thanks for the info Jeff. I was in Miami last fall and was hoping to make it to your sale but it rained and the date was changed so I missed out.

Unfortunately I can't make it since I won't be there until the 20th or 25th. Don't know yet when since I haven't purchased the ticket but either way I'd miss the event.

Sorry I missed this. I third or fourth Mike Evans. Frank Tintera might have a few things. I'll PM you with his number. Nice garden, too.

Leo, I sent you an email. It would be great, if you could make it to the CFPACS meeting on March 31st. Kopsick Palmetum in downtown St Pete is a great place to start. A sale at my garden will end the day, with various vendors attending.

Thanks everyone. I will be in contact everyone once I get closer to arriving out that way. Now I just have to take a second job to be able to buy all the palms I'd like to bring back.

There is no where in Orlando to buy any palms of any size much less hard to find species. Well that I know of.

Thanks Sonoranfans.
