I was thinking cowellii, macroglossa or rigida in that order of posibility(aside from cowellii being rare and usually very small in cultivation).

Ok, here's one. While this is a fairly common palm here in south Florida, I have not seen this red coloration before.

You got the genus correct, but neither of these species is correct.

Possibly Heterospathe elata, but the brown older leaf is throwing me off.

Good sence of understanding there Jody. The older leaf is indeed from another palm in the same pot! As you know elata has one brown leaf at a time. Way to go.
