Cannot Reply To New PM

I received a new PM this morning to which I cannot reply. The message has a red X next to it on the "My Conversations" page, and when the message is accessed the send button is grayed out and says "You cannot reply." Why would this be happening? I have some other messages appearing the same way, but most are "reply-able."

The person who sent it must have deleted it on their end. Since they are no longer part of the conversation, there isn't anyone for you to reply to.
